THE WARRIOR 2011-just watch the love between two brothers heal

I tried to think about how I could explain this movie and I think I’ll just keep it simple. I realized after a slow start that there was much more to this dysfunctional relationship between two brothers and their Dad. I became extremely connected with the characters in this movie and that’s when I realized this was about to become one of the best mixed martial arts/fight movies I had ever seen. My brother agreed.

I knew the movie was about two brothers that end up fighting each other to win an MMA title. I also knew that this picture was based on true events which made the competition for the rise to the top even more suspenseful. What I didn’t know was how emotional this fight movie was about to get.

There came a point at the end of the movie, when the music rose to its highest and most dramatic point, that I could barely hold my emotions in. I was sitting there, my face bright red, my throat completely clenched(about to fall out of my mouth), while I held my almost overflowing, cry baby, tears in. The ending shows the perfect love between two brothers who had been downright physically and emotionally beaten . If I had not been with three other people, I would have completely lost it.

If you are not a fan of fight/MMA/whatever you want to call this genre of movies, I suggest you don’t start. I do however suggest you watch this movie. I challenge you to hold the tears in.
