Bon appetit & don't forget POP'ney

I started this blog a couple hours ago and then saved it to make something to eat.

9:30pm So it has finally come to that time in life when you have to say goodbye to a wonderful Grandma. We have known for a while that her health was deteriorating, especially this last month, and that she was about to leave us. At this point she has hours to live, at most a day. I’m flying home tomorrow to be with my family and say goodbye to my G-ma.

11:00pm I just got a phone call from my brother and I knew…and isn’t it just strange when you look down at your phone and you just know what that phone call means. He gave me the news that Grandma passed away.

There were times I wondered if I’d cry when Grandma passed away because we have been prepared for her passing for a while now. It’s the moments when you talk with other family members and hear their sadness, that it brings out yours. Death is never something you can be prepared for, even when you feel prepared. All you can do is feel how you feel and go from there.
